Recommended activities - for activity people, definitely bungy jump, paragliding/ hang-gliding, glacier climbing, scenic flight over Mount Cook, whale & dolphin watching, white water rafting.

This time, we chose less adrenaline-driving activities. The following are highly recommended ones:

• Cape Farewell Eco Tour - beautiful landscape
• Underworld Rafting - looking at the glow worms on the roof of the cave while lying on your back flowing along the underground water is an out-of-world experience!
• Diving at Milford Sound with Tawaki Dive - experience with cold water and unusual corals and fishes that you won't see in temperate water!
• Doubtful Sound Overnight Cruise - leave the tourists of Milford Sound behind and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the fiordland!
• Sunrise Penguin Walk in Dunedin - have the penguins for your own with no other people around!
• Hot air balloon in Methven - excellent view overlooking the Southern Alps. We're lucky to fly on the day when they had a regional ballon fair - 15 balloons all going up at the same time!

New Zealand地大物博，食物材料豐富又新鮮，單是去超市隨便逛一逛都樂而忘返，我們因為租車玩，所以購買食物毫無節制，除了每天自己煮極其豐富的早餐外，沿途醫肚或治口痕的小吃永不缺，還自製了小冰箱，放便存放冷凍的食品如cheese, butter and yogurt之類。有時晚上也會在motel煮，不過更多會在外吃，因為隨便走入任何一間café或餐廳都好好味而且價錢不貴(當時兌換率是NZ$1=HK$4.8)，有美食有氣氛有裝修加上通常有靚景(很多都是靠海)，在香港吃的話你估要多少？

記得吃過的有pan fried John Dory with spinach and risotto (香港很少可以吃到John Dory這麼美味的魚)，oysters (正!!!)， devil’s chocolate cake & white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake

Taupo – Crooked Door Inn, Cnr Roberts St & Titiraupenga St, Taupo
這裡很有pub feel, seafood 特別正，試過的有fish and chips，grilled fish，grilled prawns (not sure whether they’re from the nearby prawn farms but these are so good!) 好味到第二晚還再去，可惜closed on Mondays

Pohara beach – Penguin Café, 818 Abel Tasman Dve, Pohara, Takaka
smoke salmon bagel 是我吃過最好味的一個，拿滿分！
